1️⃣ 物持ちがいい（ものもちがいい）
To be good at taking care of things (long-lasting possessions)
彼は物持ちがいいので、10年前の時計をまだ使っています。He is good at taking care of things, so he still uses the watch he bought 10 years ago.
物持ちがいい人は、物を大切に扱うことが多いです。People who are good at taking care of things often handle their possessions with care.
2️⃣ 買い替える（かいかえる）
To replace (an old item with a new one)
スマートフォンが壊れたので、新しいものに買い替えました。I replaced my smartphone because it broke.
この冷蔵庫は古くなったので、そろそろ買い替えたほうがいいでしょう。This refrigerator is getting old, so it might be time to replace it soon.
3️⃣ 長持ちする（ながもちする）
To last a long time
この靴は高かったですが、とても長持ちします。These shoes were expensive, but they last a long time.
きちんと手入れをすれば、家具は長持ちします。If you take proper care of it, furniture will last a long time.
4️⃣ 使い捨て（つかいすて）
Disposable (single-use)
使い捨てのカップは便利ですが、環境に良くありません。Disposable cups are convenient, but they are not good for the environment.
最近は使い捨てではなく、再利用できる製品が人気です。Recently, reusable products have become more popular than disposable ones.
5️⃣ 物欲（ぶつよく）
Desire for possessions (material desire)
物欲が強いと、必要のない物まで買ってしまうことがあります。If your desire for possessions is strong, you might end up buying things you don’t need.
セールの広告を見ると、物欲が刺激されます。Seeing sale advertisements stimulates my desire to buy things.

1️⃣ ボロボロ
Worn-out, ragged, falling apart
この靴は毎日使っていたので、もうボロボロです。These shoes are completely worn out because I used them every day.
彼のバッグはボロボロだけど、まだ手放したくないそうです。His bag is falling apart, but he doesn’t want to let it go yet.
2️⃣ 思い入れがある（おもいいれがある）
To have an emotional attachment
このギターは初めて買ったものなので、特別な思い入れがあります。I have a special attachment to this guitar because it was the first one I bought.
古い本ですが、思い入れがあるので手放せません。It’s an old book, but I can’t let it go because I’m emotionally attached to it.
3️⃣ ケチ
Stingy, cheap
彼はケチなので、いつもお金を使いたがりません。He is stingy and never wants to spend money.
ケチだと言われるけど、無駄遣いをしたくないだけです。People say I’m stingy, but I just don’t want to waste money.
4️⃣ ケチ臭い（けちくさい）
Pettily stingy, miserly
そんな小さなことでお金を節約するのはケチ臭いと思います。I think saving money on such small things is a bit miserly.
彼はケチ臭いところがあるけど、それが逆に面白いです。He can be a little petty with money, but that’s what makes him interesting.
5️⃣ 愛着がわく（あいちゃくがわく）
To grow attached to (emotionally)
長く使っているうちに、このカバンに愛着がわいてきました。I’ve grown attached to this bag after using it for so long.
ペットを飼うと、自然と愛着がわくものです。When you have a pet, you naturally grow attached to it.
6️⃣ 使い倒す（つかいたおす）
To use something thoroughly until it’s worn out
このスマホは壊れるまで使い倒すつもりです。I plan to use this smartphone until it breaks.
彼はいつも洋服を使い倒してから新しいものを買います。He always wears his clothes until they’re completely worn out before buying new ones.
7️⃣ 浪費癖（ろうひぐせ）
Habit of wasting money or resources
彼には浪費癖があって、給料日にはすぐお金を使ってしまいます。He has a habit of wasting money and spends it as soon as payday comes.
浪費癖を直すために、家計簿をつけ始めました。I started keeping a household budget to break my habit of wasting money.
