テーマ：自慢

例えば、あなたの性格、特技、経験、家族、友達、ペット、出身地、コレクション、仕事…など、なんでもいいですよ！

1. 特技（とくぎ） – Special skill, Talent
私の特技はピアノを弾くことです。
My special skill is playing the piano.
彼はサッカーが特技で、毎週試合に出ています。
His special skill is playing soccer, and he participates in matches every week.
2. 自信満々（じしんまんまん） – Full of confidence
彼は自信満々にプレゼンテーションをした。
He gave his presentation full of confidence.
テストの前は自信満々だったが、思ったより難しかった。
I was full of confidence before the test, but it was harder than I expected.
3. 評価する（ひょうかする） – To evaluate, To assess
先生は生徒の作文を評価した。
The teacher evaluated the students’ essays.
会社では、半年ごとに社員の仕事を評価する。
At the company, employees' work is evaluated every six months.
4. 自慢する（じまんする） – To boast, To take pride in
彼はよく自分の車を自慢する。
He often boasts about his car.
自分の努力を自慢してもいいと思う。
I think it’s okay to take pride in your efforts.
5. 嫉妬する（しっとする） – To be jealous, To envy
彼女は友達の成功に嫉妬している。
She is jealous of her friend’s success.
嫉妬するよりも、自分を成長させることに集中しよう。
Instead of being jealous, let’s focus on improving ourselves.
中級
1. 誇りを持つ（ほこりをもつ） – To take pride in
彼は自分の仕事に誇りを持っている。
He takes pride in his work.
自分の国の文化に誇りを持つことは大切だ。
It is important to take pride in your country's culture.
2. 謙遜する（けんそんする） – To be modest, To humble oneself
彼は褒められても、いつも謙遜している。
Even when he is praised, he always humbles himself.
「そんなことないですよ」と謙遜するのが日本の文化だ。
Saying "That's not true" and being modest is part of Japanese culture.
3. 謙虚（けんきょ） – Humble, Modesty
彼女は成功しても謙虚な態度を忘れない。
Even after her success, she never forgets to be humble.
謙虚な人は多くの人に好かれる。
Humble people are liked by many others.
4. 嫉妬する（しっとする） – To be jealous, To envy
彼は友達の昇進を嫉妬している。
He is jealous of his friend’s promotion.
嫉妬するよりも、自分の目標に集中したほうがいい。
Instead of being jealous, it’s better to focus on your own goals.
5. 自信満々（じしんまんまん） – Full of confidence
彼は試験の前に自信満々だったが、結果はよくなかった。
He was full of confidence before the exam, but the results were not good.
スピーチの前に練習すると、自信満々で話せるようになる。
Practicing before a speech helps you speak with full confidence.
上級
1. 見せびらかす（みせびらかす） – To show off, To flaunt
彼は新しいスマホを友達に見せびらかしていた。
He was showing off his new smartphone to his friends.
高級ブランドのバッグを見せびらかす人もいる。
Some people flaunt their luxury brand bags.
2. 嫉妬する（しっとする） – To be jealous, To envy
彼女は友達の幸せを素直に喜べず、嫉妬してしまった。
She couldn’t genuinely celebrate her friend’s happiness and felt jealous instead.
嫉妬するよりも、自分を高める努力をしよう。
Instead of being jealous, let’s make an effort to improve ourselves.
3. 謙遜する（けんそんする） – To be modest, To humble oneself
彼は賞をもらったが、「たいしたことではない」と謙遜した。
He received an award, but he humbly said, "It's nothing special."
日本では、自分の成功を謙遜することが美徳とされることが多い。
In Japan, humbling oneself about one’s success is often considered a virtue.
4. 謙虚（けんきょ） – Humble, Modesty
彼はどんなに成功しても謙虚なままだ。
No matter how successful he becomes, he remains humble.
謙虚な姿勢を持つことで、人間関係がよくなる。
Having a humble attitude improves relationships with others.
5. 自画自賛（じがじさん） – Self-praise, To brag about oneself
彼は自分の作品について自画自賛ばかりしている。
He constantly praises his own work.
自画自賛するよりも、他人に評価してもらうほうが価値がある。
Rather than praising yourself, it’s more valuable to be recognized by others.
