🔹【告白する（こくはくする）】confess (one's love)
好きな人に告白しましたが、返事はまだです。→ I confessed to the person I like, but I haven’t gotten a reply yet.
高校のとき、友達が先生に告白して大ニュースになりました。→ In high school, my friend confessed to a teacher and it became big news.
🔹【別れる（わかれる）】break up
遠距離になってから、彼と別れました。→ After we became long-distance, I broke up with him.
別れても、友達として付き合っている人もいます。→ Some people stay friends even after breaking up.
🔹【付き合う（つきあう）】date / go out with
二人は大学で出会って、すぐに付き合い始めました。→ They met in college and started dating soon after.
付き合って3年になる彼と、来年結婚する予定です。→ I’ve been dating my boyfriend for three years, and we plan to get married next year.
