初中級

🟡 成績（せいせき） – grade, academic performance

この学期の成績がよくて、うれしいです。→ I’m happy because my grades this semester are good.

彼はいつも成績を気にしています。→ He always worries about his grades.

🟡 必修（ひっしゅう） / 選択科目（せんたくかもく） – required / elective subjectこのクラスは必修科目なので、全員が受けなければなりません。→ This class is required, so everyone has to take it.

私はフランス語を選択科目として勉強しています。→ I’m studying French as an elective subject.

🟡 習得（しゅうとく）する – to acquire, to master

新しい言葉を習得するには時間がかかります。→ It takes time to acquire new words.

彼は独学で英語を習得しました。→ He mastered English by self-study.

🟡 暗記（あんき）する – to memorize

テストのためにたくさんの単語を暗記しました。→ I memorized many words for the test.

彼女は歌の歌詞をすぐ暗記できます。→ She can memorize song lyrics quickly.

🟡 上達（じょうたつ）する – to improve, to get better

毎日話す練習をして、日本語が上達しました。→ I practiced speaking every day, and my Japanese improved.

ピアノがだんだん上達してきました。→ My piano playing has gradually improved.

中・上級

🟠 実践（じっせん）する – to put into practice教

科書で学んだ表現を、実際の会話で実践してみました。→ I tried putting into practice the expressions I learned in the textbook during a real conversation.

実践することで、知識が本当に自分のものになります。→ By putting things into practice, knowledge truly becomes your own.

🟠 継続（けいぞく）する – to continue, to keep going

語学学習は短期間ではなく、継続することが大切です。→ Language learning is not about the short term; continuing is what matters.

毎日10分でも継続すれば、大きな成果につながります。→ Even if it’s just 10 minutes a day, continuing leads to big results.

🟠 伸び悩む（のびなやむ） – to struggle to make progress, to plateau

最近、日本語の勉強で伸び悩んでいて、モチベーションが下がっています。→ Recently I’ve been struggling to make progress in my Japanese studies, and my motivation has dropped.

あるレベルに達すると、伸び悩む時期が必ず来ると言われています。→ It’s said that once you reach a certain level, there will always be a period when you plateau.

🟠 流暢（りゅうちょう）な – fluent

彼女は英語がとても流暢で、ネイティブのように話します。→ She is very fluent in English and speaks like a native.

流暢に話すことと、正しく話すことは必ずしも同じではありません。→ Speaking fluently and speaking correctly are not necessarily the same.

🟠 三日坊主（みっかぼうず） – giving up easily, not sticking with something

新しい言語を勉強しようと思っても、三日坊主で終わってしまう人も多いです。→ Many people try to study a new language, but end up quitting after just a few days.

三日坊主にならないためには、小さな目標を作ることが大事です。→ To avoid giving up quickly, it’s important to set small goals.
