日本のレストランでは、お茶や水を無料でもらえることがあります。
ある店では、1人で1リットル以上のお茶を飲むお客さんがいて、問題になりました。
「おかわり無料」「おかわり自由」と書いてあっても、何杯でも好きなだけ飲んでいい、という意味ではありません。
弁護士は、「普通に考えて、多すぎない量なら無料」という意味だと説明しています。

例文② すみません、お茶をもう1杯おかわりしてもいいですか。Excuse me, can I have another cup of tea?
【食べ放題（たべほうだい）】all-you-can-eat
例文① この焼肉屋は3,000円で食べ放題だから、たくさん食べよう。This yakiniku restaurant is all-you-can-eat for 3,000 yen, so let’s eat a lot.
例文② 食べ放題でも、食べられないほど料理を取るのはよくないと思います。Even at an all-you-can-eat restaurant, I don’t think you should take more food than you can eat.
【常識（じょうしき）】common sense
例文① ホテルのタオルを持って帰らないのは、常識だと思っていました。I thought it was common sense not to take hotel towels home.
例文② 何が常識かは、国や文化によって違うことがあります。What is considered common sense can differ depending on the country or culture.
【範囲（はんい）】range / limits
例文① 無料でも、常識の範囲で利用したほうがいいと思います。Even if it’s free, I think you should use it within reasonable limits.
例文② 交通費は1万円まで会社が払ってくれるので、その範囲でホテルを探しています。My company will cover transportation costs up to 10,000 yen, so I’m looking within that limit.
【欲張る（よくばる）】be greedy / want too much
例文① 無料だからって、欲張ってたくさん取るのはよくないよ。Just because it’s free doesn’t mean you should be greedy and take a lot.
例文② ケーキもアイスも食べたくて欲張ったら、お腹がいっぱいになっちゃった。I got greedy and wanted both cake and ice cream, and ended up completely full.

【欲張る（よくばる）】be greedy / want too much
例文① 食べ放題だからって欲張って取りすぎると、結局食べきれなくなるよ。Just because it’s all-you-can-eat, if you get greedy and take too much, you’ll end up not being able to finish it.
例文② せっかく旅行に来たからと欲張って予定を入れすぎて、逆に疲れてしまいました。I tried to fit too much into my schedule since I was on vacation, and ended up exhausted instead.
【図々しい（ずうずうしい）】shameless / pushy
例文① 何も注文せずに無料のお茶だけ何杯も飲むのは、ちょっと図々しい気がします。I feel like it’s a little shameless to order nothing and drink several cups of free tea.
例文② 彼は遅刻してきたのに、「駅まで送って」と言ってきて、ちょっと図々しいと思いました。He showed up late and then asked me to drive him to the station, which I thought was pretty cheeky.
【悪用する（あくようする）】abuse / misuse
